- Summary: MultiFace II w/ BitSURFR Pro ISDN Modem eats CPU

- I recently had my ISDN line installed and I'm now successfully using
- a Motorola BitSURFR Pro with 2B 64K MPPP connections using AmiTCP 4.3
- and the PPP V1.45. I'm driving the BitSURFR off my MultiFace II
- card at 115.2 Kbps. I can achieve ~10KB/s on compressed FTPs. Pretty nice !
-
- My only concern is that driving the MultiFace II with its duart.device at
- a sustained 115.2 K rate seems to take just about the whole CPU on
- my A3000/25. Anybody have any ideas on how I can drive the BitSURFR more
- efficiently ? Any experience with other serial cards which operate more
- efficiently ?
-
- Thanks,
-
